What data we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you choose to give us, and what is recorded automatically when you use the site.

Information you give us

If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use them to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence, and for nothing else.

You are never required to give us personal data to read the site. Predictions, reviews and odds are all available without an account.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and analytics record technical details about each visit. These are used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and to diagnose faults.

• IP address, and the approximate region derived from it
• Browser, operating system and device type
• Pages viewed, the order you viewed them in, and the referring page
• Dates and times of access

Cookies we use

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We group ours into three kinds, and only the first is strictly necessary.

• Essential: remember your language and your preferred odds format so the site works as you left it
• Analytics: count visits and measure which pages are read, in aggregate
• Advertising: attribute a sign-up to the link that produced it, so a partner can credit the referral

Refusing or removing cookies

You can refuse non-essential cookies when you first arrive, and change your mind at any time. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site from its privacy settings.

Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not restrict access to anything on the site. Blocking essential cookies means preferences such as your odds format will not persist between visits.

How long we keep data

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up. Aggregated analytics are retained in a form that does not identify individual readers.

Your rights over your data

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to a particular use of it.

Write to us through the contact page and we will respond. We may need to confirm your identity first so that we do not disclose someone else's information.

How we protect your data

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to contact submissions is limited to the people who need it to reply. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so we keep what we collect to a minimum.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to bookmakers and to support organisations. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy governs what it collects, and this notice no longer applies. We would encourage you to read the policy of any operator before registering with it.

Changes to this notice

We update this page when our practices change. The version you are reading is the current one, and material changes will be signposted on the site rather than made quietly.
